Defensive Player of the Week
Dario Sandoval had three sacks and five tackles in the 27-24 loss to Santa Ana College on Sept. 21. His five stops included three solo tackles and he also had three tackles for a loss. Sandoval was an all-conference player as a freshman at GCC in 2023 at defensive end and is 6-3 and 232 pounds from Saugus High in Santa Clarita.
Quarterback Jackson Askins and wide receiver Jake Wisner were also nominated for SCFA Offensive Players of the Week for their outstanding performances in Glendale's 27-24 loss to Santa Ana College Sept. 21.
